Role of Nurses in Healthcare Systems
Nurses have a significant role to play in health institutions. They spend much time with the patients providing them with necessary information and care. They usually assess the patients and then help the physicians to develop a strategy for caring for them CITATION Fro18 \l 2057 (Frost, 2018). One of their most important duty is the caring for patients. Usually, after a doctor recommends the medication to a patient, the nurses then ensure that they execute the treatment. While performing their duties, they use specialized equipment to serve their patients efficiently CITATION Fro18 \l 2057 (Frost, 2018)

This process may take a long period which has made nurses to develop a workaround. Instead of scanning the barcode, the nurses enter the number on the barcode which then identifies the patient CITATION Pat02 \l 2057 (Patterson, Cook, & Render, 2002).
The implementing this workaround helped the nurses to serve more patients faster than while scanning the barcodes. This proce...
