Abstract
Birth Control has led to major debates worldwide, some supporting and others against it. So far there have been three major world arguments for the use of contraception and two primaries against it. There are different methods of Birth Control, so the choice is always left for the individual to decide which one to use. It always has education and health benefits associated with it both to women and even children. Women have the right to choose and decide when to bring forth an offspring to the world, and no one should infringe them on that. The world will grow both socially and economically stable as contraception becomes familiar. It is leading to the loss of religious and cultural faith in the society as the two ideologies continue to contradict one another. It is also possible that through Birth Control, the economy can weaken as the country continues to lack the manpower for its daily operations.
Birth Control
Birth control is any mechanism or method use to prevent pregnancy from taking place in a sexually active woman. Previously it was known as Family Planning but in today’s world, it is mostly referred as Contraception. There are various Birth Control methods that can be applied to prevent conception, but the most common ones are the use of pills by women after sexual intercourse. The use of Birth Control Implant, there is Nova -Ring commonly known as Vaginal Ring, there is also Depo-Provera which is a shot or merely a patch in the body. All these are either meant to prevent the sperm from reaching and fertilizing the egg, or preventing the fertilized egg from getting implanted on the uterus wall. There have been various world arguments either for, or against Birth Control. Some of the world reasons for Birth Control are Socio-economic benefits, Education, and health benefits and lastly it supports the Human Rights. And the two largest world arguments against Birth Control are of economic context and also cultural and religious context.
First and foremost, the world’s argument for birth control is the education and health benefits. The smaller the family, the healthier it becomes as the parents can provide for the basic needs of their children such as Food, Shelter, and Clothing. The problem is mostly common in developing countries like the sub-Saharan Africa where the parents can’t afford even taking their children to School. In a well planned family, all the children’s needs are met, and the parents are also not burdened by toiling for extra pennies just to meet the family needs. Women can pursue their carriers further without the interference of getting unwanted pregnancies globally today, which has led to the better education in the female gender (Ahmed, 2015). That’s the primary reason women Professors, Doctors, Governors and even Presidents continue to dominate the society. Women have become less prone to pregnancy-related diseases which commonly occur after having several births leading to a healthy society. So through Birth Control, the society has become more educated, happy and healthy worldwide.
Birth Control has also led to economic and socio-economic benefits globally. A less populated country is likely to grow faster economically compared to the overpopulated one. The government does not waste much of its resources caring for its people medically and even providing housing in the well-populated countries compared to the ones that are overpopulated. Birth Control leads to more availability of employment opportunities as the competition in the job market diminishes thereby enhancing more stable happy families. Complaints of vices in the society such as robbery, carjacking, and even prostitution continue to descend in the unpopulated countries like in most European Countries such as Germany and Sweden.
The other argument for Birth Control is of Human Rights. Just like there are other freedoms in other sectors of life, there is freedom of choice. The right to determine the size of the family one wants, the right to know when to have a baby or not. Once the freedom is there for all to enjoy, that is for both men and women alike, cases of abortion and death in the society worldwide will go down. The world where no one infringes on the other’s rights like forcing women to carry unwanted pregnancies and preventing women from accessing contraceptives, that’s the life of the modern woman in this twenty-first century.
Looking at the other side of the story, that is the world’s argument against Birth Control, there is the Cultural and Religious context of it. Birth Control methods and abortion are contrary to various Cultural a...
