Health care remains a sensitive aspect of service to humanity. This is because, as opposed to other services to humanity, it is directly involved with human life. Confidentiality will, therefore, form the driving force and basis behind this paper because neglect of this increasingly breached aspect in healthcare delivery only tarnishes the organization's image. It is expected that physicians adhere to the obligation that requires them to avoid disclosure of information. Therefore, in order to build the capacity of an organization and improve the image of the medical industry, it is vital that this medical ethic as a health practice be given more insight and the challenges faced by healthcare providers in their bid to adhere to the same be addressed for the overall good of both the patient and the organization. When the physician shares vital information to another patient, for example, it tarnishes the name and image of the organization. Therefore, fewer patients will seek medication in such a facility. The extreme could occur in a case where one would rather ail at home rather than visit the facility for the fear of their medical information being leaked out to irrelevant authorities. The role of the organization, in this case, would have failed because while it is encouraged that patients seek medication, the act of breach of confidentiality makes the patient seek other alternatives.
