New Trends in Cancer Management
Cancer is increasingly becoming a concern in the health sector in the United States. Despite advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, this chronic illness is still a threat to man. It was estimated that 1,735,350 cases will be newly diagnosed in 2018 out of which 609,640 will die from the ailment. Among many others, lung, breast and prostate cancer remains the most common types of cancer that the state is battling with at the moment. The projection is expected to hit 23.6 million by 2030 if the current trend continues. Despite the high rate of diagnosis, however, it is important to note that the mortality rate related to cancer has been decreasing yearly.
