Introduction
This paper focuses on Dorothea Orem’s Theory developed by a theorist called Dorothea Elizabeth Orem. The theorist established the theory between the years 1959 and 2001 with the mission of ensuring better and quality nursing within general health centers in her nation. The theory is regarded as a noble nursing theory because it encompasses a wide variety of generic notions that may be applied to every nursing situation (Jon Haws, 2021). Patients are sometimes urged to convey the best in themselves in spite of being sick for an interval of time in the hospital. This is especially true in a reestablishment context when sufferers are expected to be self-sufficient following being taken care of by nurses and doctors.
