Nursing informatics involves identifying, managing, tracking, and sending information by integrating analytics and sciences of medicine. It is utilized by physicians, nurses, patients, as well as other professionals in the healthcare sector to enter, obtain, and share care protocols, nursing notes, diagnostic test results, financial reports, patient histories, and evidence-based research (McCormick & Saba, 2015).
