Uncertainty prevail the argument, as the same ideas keep on revolving around the government. For that reason, it is imperative to comprehend the real definition of Medicare.
Medicare is the Social Insurance Program (SIP) that delivers health coverage to individuals, deprived of their health status and income. The system works in a way that people pay into Medicare during the course of their operational lives. There are some critical challenges the Medicare facing and is set to face shortly. Medical cost and funding prove to be a major problem in the US, especially is the future. It is because the federal government funds Medicare through funding from general revenues, payroll tax income, and premiums remunerated by beneficiaries. There is a necessity to safeguard the recipients,taxpayers, and the economy for the future generations. It is as a result of the constant rise in health care costs, increased in the aging populations and declining proportion of workers to the beneficiaries. Analysts argue that before 2019 the Medicare will be short in funds though little is known about the solution to this crisis.
Therefore, the cost of Medicare needs to be made affordable to bridge the benefits gap. Medicare does not cover up long-term health issues, but only standard drug prescription issues are making it expensive for some individuals. This forces the individuals to search for other insurance cover policies that add an extra cost. The methods of payments have proved to be prone to fraud as they are paid through the private health plans. The enrollees are subject to unfairness, during the Medicare Advantage Plan, on the distribution of extra benefits.
