Hazard Investigation
A mosquito mesh is applied to act as a barrier against the malaria vector, female Anopheles mosquito. As a physical barrier, the mesh poses little if any hazard to human health (Kawada et al., 2012). However, mosquito meshes are frequently used alongside insecticides often made using pyrethroids (Faiman & Warburg, 2012).
Purpose of an Investigation
Hazard investigation involves assessing the potential dangers posed by mosquito meshes. Such an investigation provides recommendations on the best practices when using meshes to minimize human contact with the anopheles mosquito and subsequently lower the risk of malaria. For instance, an investigation can collect data on the negative health impacts of using insecticide-treated mosquito nets. Such an investigation will have the primary goal of establishing whether mosquito meshes pose threats to the health of human beings who use it (Foster & Walker, 2019).
Importance of an Investigation
It is essential to investigate hazards posed by mosquito meshes to ensure that its use has a net positive impact on human as well as other forms of life (Faiman & Warburg, 2012).
