Most nursing home residents are there permanently either because they require constant care or because they have an ongoing condition. The role played by nursing homes in the United States since their introduction and integration into the healthcare facility are numerous and beneficial to the societies. However, there are contrary opinions owing to a few challenges developing from their operations. Therefore, nursing homes have various benefits that overcome their selected shortcomings and effectively make them a key part of the medical institutions and society in the United States.
