Drug use is the leading most costly health problem throughout the globe. Besides the economic cost, use of drugs has had a great impact on the lives of people. Thousands of people on drugs become addicted and their lives are changed and influenced forever when necessary measures are not put in place for treatment. Treatment and prevention research along with clinical familiarity has proven that it is quite possible to successfully intervene in fighting addiction. However, these interventions have been realized to be effective only when solidly grounded in order to provide long-standing behavioral as well as pharmacological support for acquire permanent abstinence. Among the psychosocial aspects of drug use or rather etiology is that there exist many ways to behavior that leads to drug use. Essentially, many biological and psychosocial factors collectively influence one another in causing substance abuse and addiction.
