Health Care Administration is a rapidly growing field, and the administrators have a significant amount of power and authority within the medical system. It entails making if decisions that affect a broader population in the hospital, meaning that the intensity of their decisions has significant implications to the healthcare community. Health Care administrators need to be ethically considerate in their decisions with the repercussions on stakeholders in mind (Dahnke, 2013). Health Care Administration has a close link to Utilization Management. This is in decision making to ensure utilization management techniques employed in a facility serve to progress the institution's plan further. The Health Care administrators are involved with case management to ensure ethically informed decisions and maintain successful utilization management programs (Hospital Case Management, 2021). The Health Care Administration profession has shown significant growth in terms of industrial significance and demand for competent entry-level supervisors from college. The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration course provides strong foundations in core disciplines if one is interested in entry-level management positions in health care (Purdue University Global, 2021). The undergraduate course consists of a minimum of 180 quarter credit hours upon which a person is awarded a degree on completion (Purdue University Global, 2021). The requirements for the industry include a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education, less than five years’ experience in a related occupation, and acceptance of a $104,280 per year in salary (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2021).  Provide personality traits and skills sets required for the profession. Health Care Administration is a leadership role that requires similar requirements like any other leadership position. The administrators must be socially accommodating to ensure they speak with their subjects on what is going on in the institution and get suggestions. The need to be considerate and lenient in making decisions. Here, they should look at the implications of their choices, whether negative or positive, on all stakeholders. This requires them to be armed with excellent problem-solving skills (O*NET OnLine, 2021). Administrators must lead from the front by figuring out the problems and finding ways to improve them. To achieve this, they need to have excellent attention to detail which enables them to see details about an event that others may miss. This ensures that they grip what is going on, facilitating a smooth ruing of the organization. The administrators should have integrity in their functions to ensure maximum morality in administration (O*NET OnLine, 2021). This creates an equal and just environment that cultivates dependability and trust among the employees and administration. Administrators need to be flexible in how they handle their duties. The world is becoming more dynamic, which requires adaptability to ensure competence. Explain how the personality traits from the O*Net profile line up with the field The personality traits of the Health Care Administrators must line up to the expectations of the Health Care field to facilitate maximum output and efficiency. The Health Care industry is a delicate field since mistakes in decision-making result in loss of human life. Therefore, the administrators should be very attentive to details that enable them to keep track of all activities and events taking place and make ethically correct decisions. Integrity is also an important personality trait. Leaders should be honest and open, which increases the employees' confidence in them and serves to enhance their dependability. Integrity is vital as it gives everyone a clear picture of direction and cultivates ethical behavior, which is required in the health care profession. Cooperation is also a critical aspect of an administrator's personality as it helps ensure a rigid and connected work environment. Cooperation is essential as the practitioners manage different conditions, which requires maximum cooperation and teamwork for greater cooperation. Cooperation also reduces errors, resulting in loss of human life in the hospital. The administrator needs to be flexible to ensure they remain top of any barriers which may come in their way. It is critical in the Heath Care industry because of the growing need to customize patients to ensure quality services. These personality traits are integral in helping the administrators, and health care institutions remain efficient and competitive in the industry. Identify areas from the personality profile to be prepared for the health administration workforce. The three areas in the personality profile to be most prepared for are attentiveness to detail, cooperation, and flexibility. This is because these three areas cannot be taught in class, and one has to learn them along the way, and their importance in the industry cannot be understated. Attention to detail is essential as it helps keep track of all activities in the institution. In the health care industry, this can mean life and death as procedures such as assessment of patients, medicine prescription, and medical practices have a significant reliance on specificity. Errors in these areas can be fatal to both the patients and the institution. On the other hand, cooperation is intertwined with the institution's ability to provide quality healthcare. Collaboration of all stakeholders improves patient outcomes and satisfaction. However, lack of cooperation is detrimental as it results in errors, poor patient outcomes, and inefficiencies harmful to health care provision. Every aspect of the world is changing, and this dynamic nature means that administrators should embrace adaptability to remain relevant. Flexibility is an essential component of resilience which ensures a leader is best prepared to face adversity and integrate well with any changes in the industry to maximize patient outcomes.
