Introduction
Cigarette smoking is a depravity to the community. Smoking as much as it is leisure to some individuals, it also affects negatively to some fellows either in work places, home, streets, public places, and indoor places. To commence with, cigarette smoking has a lot of negative impact on the people’s health and to the environment at large. In this essay, a discussion on whether smoking should be allowed at public places and indoor areas should be allowed shall be elaborated.
Discussion
Most people in today’s society have indulged themselves in to smoking. These people include both men and women. However, smoking is not a habit to everybody in today’s society. In public places such as in parks, for example, most of the crown found will be composed of smokers and nonsmokers. Nonsmokers prefer a clean and breathing fresh air in the environment, while smokers do exactly the opposite (Great Britain, 2005).They although like a clean environment, but cannot avoid lighting the cigars. Establishment of rights to smoke in public places has impacts. To start with, it has an impact on nonsmokers in the sense that, they are susceptible to damage in second hand smoking (SHS). In addition to that, they are deprived fresh air to breath. On the other hand, it has cost effect on the smokers in that they spend a lot of their income in smoking and also these people are prone to many diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis and other related diseases of smoking.
