Introduction

A comparison is carried out between the research questions, sample populations as well as the limitations of the study. Recommendations will also be added to the paper. This will be in aid to describe the support given to the PICOT by the research currently being carried out. The PICOT question is: In adult patients of age 18 – 45 years with type-2 diabetes mellitus (P) how does diet education (I) compared to handouts (C) promote patient’s dietary patterns and general diabetes self-care (O) after 10 weeks of implementation (T)?
Research Questions Comparison
From the research articles, there is a great range of research questions which are mainly based on the age when adherence to T2DM by the patients depending on their life and the type of treatment that they are undergoing. Additionally, the research questions are also revolving around the dietary needs and the risks they pose to adults in being diagnosed with T2DM. some studies have also gone a notch higher trying to find out the differences between the impacts of type-2 diabetes mellitus in ethnic groups (Antonio et al., 2019). Further, the research questions also want to find out the impacts that other self-management courses have in managing diabetes, as Herre et al., (2016), puts it, “…how people participating in diabetes self‐management courses with other people with type 2 diabetes and how they perceive this influences their health and ability to self‐manage the disease…”. However, the research questions can all be summarized down to the effects that diet education has to the patients suffering from type-2 diabetes mellitus.
