Sound overall health is essential for optimal physical and mental functionality. This capacity to function optimally ensures that individuals remain productive in society. For this reason, governments worldwide prioritize the health and well-being of their populations. Nevertheless, the prioritization does not stop some illnesses, such as those associated with age, gender, and lifestyle choices. Consequently, a considerable portion of every country’s population grapples with the adverse health effects of various preventable, manageable, and treatable illnesses, such as hypertension (Healthy People 2030, 2020). This chronic condition has negative health implications, especially for menopausal women, as explained below.
Clinical Signs and Symptoms of Hypertension
Hypertensive patients usually experience various clinical signs and symptoms that should be adequately understood for prompt and appropriate intervention. These symptoms primarily include persistent headaches and general fatigue (Nerenberg et al., 2018). Also, breathing difficulties accompanied by frequent chest discomfort are associated with hypertension. Elsewhere, it has been reported that blurred vision and blood-stained urine have also been recorded in hypertensive patients (Nerenberg et al., 2018).
