The change theory is among the instrumental theories used by quantum leaders to drive change in contemporary organizations. Kurt Lewin developed the three-step change model in which he elaborated on organizational change using the analogy of an ice block taking a new shape via three fundamental steps: unfreezing, changing, and refreezing (Hussain et al., 2018). The initial step (unfreezing) seeks to minimize change resistance through awareness, communicating the positive side of the anticipated change to move people from their comfort zone and propend toward the desired direction. The next step (changing) involves engaging the workers who have unfrozen their typical behavior in transitioning into a new paradigm and implementing the desired change. Finally, refreezing entails reinforcing and cementing the new change to avoid reverting to the old ways. Managers can use the change theory to introduce a new change by incorporating employees and explaining the desired change. Employees are then accorded the necessary support and encouragement to align with the change.
