Risk management is an important field as it has to do with the identification, review, measurement, control, minimization, avoidance and elimination of risks that are unacceptable that any organizations or companies face. Unacceptable risks often are the results of hazards including a fire that are inherent in many organizations. All businesses need to have a clearly drawn strategy for managing risks. Some of the techniques that can be used to manage risk are categorized under four main categories. These include avoidance, reduction, sharing, and detection. An excellent risk management strategy would include a combination of all these four (Hughes & Ferrett, 2012). The following paper recommends an effective strategy that can be used to mitigate risks posed by structural, electrical and ventilation faults. Upon the review of the organization’s hazards and risks, it was found that three key issues can lead to dangerous and even fatal consequences.
