There has been a huge debate about the best freight method between trucks and rails. Given the fact that both methods have been in use for the past several decades, then it is clear that each of them has its merits and demerits. The choice of the best freight method depends on several conditions, such as the size of the language and weather, among others. However, trucking still stands to be the best method since it accounts for approximately 70% of the freight being transported in the United States of America (Wang, Nozick, Xu & Gearhart, 2018).
Both rails and trucks are convenient at the transportation of a specific amount of goods. The trucks are suitable for transporting both huge and small goods in different parts of the nation due to the availability of roads. Besides, rails are convenient for hauling huge loads over long distances.
