Corporate culture is crucial in its success or failure, with the unhealthy culture associated with organizational failure and healthy culture linked to success. Cultural rigidity, which includes over codification of organization custom and norms, can make an organization lose touch with reality. The discussion also links organization failure to crisis denial, including the inaction by a company in mitigating or taking corrective measures during a crisis. The top organizational executive is often caught up in the organization's daily operational management, forgetting to address small problems that build to create an enormous crisis. The consistent ignoring of the issues by business leaders leads to the ultimate failure.
