Introduction
Successful leaders get skills while practicing core elements of leadership such as vision, strategy, tactics as well as operations. However, the highly successful leaders blend the other attributes of leadership such as humility, caring and gratitude (Armstrong and Taylor, 2014).The opportunity to be as a leader should be regarded as a gift.
Different Leadership Styles:-
Employees are motivated and guided for implementing plan with an effective leadership. It is important for the leaders to identify the best leadership style that helps to manage the employees of an organization. As defined by Northouse (2017) a process by which a group of individuals are influenced by a person to achieve a common goal is leadership. As leadership strongly influences the performance of organizations, an effective leader is important for an organization to manage and control the employees (Northouse, 2018). The suitability of style of leadership that helps the organization depends on the type of business in which the leader operates. The most universal leadership styles concerns transactional, transformational and laissez-faire. These three styles are commonly applied in various organizations nowadays.
Transformational leadership
The transformational leadership is a kind of authoritative style that responds to the needs and responsibilities of the followers. The vision and perception of the leader is communicated to the follower in an appropriate manner (Zhu et.al,2016). Transformational leaders are proactive to improve the awareness of their subordinates for the significance of inspiring the interests of group. As the leaders are anticipated to direct the employees in achieving the goals of organization, leadership styles determine the job satisfaction of employees (Hakim et.al, 2017).
1. Idealized influence: subordinates respect and honor leaders, the leader achieve this when he or she prioritizes the requirements of subordinates over her or his requirements (Alzyoud et.al, 2017). Transformational style leaders provide inspiration, appreciation and respect to their subordinates and this drives their followers to show a high level performance.
2. Inspirational Motivation: a transformational leader is a visionary who encourages, and motivates which increases the confidence of employees to achieve the goals of organization (Tepret et.al,2015).
3. Intellectual stimulation: these leaders provide autonomy to their subordinates to deviate away from the conventional way of doing the things so that they can do the thing in an enthusiastic manner (Nidadhavolu,2018)
Individualized consideration: subordinates are trained and guided by the leaders for the development of their potentiality as well as their performance at the work. (Anfo,2017).Leaders assist employees who have lower level of confidence and problem solving skills by providing training to them. Transformational leaders also focus on the needs of employees so that they can grow and become successful.
