For a business such as Starbucks to excel in its practices, it has to streamline the processes to suit the enterprise and the customer needs. Starbucks has well-established operations management strategies that help the company to thrive in a highly competitive niche. The business has over 28,000 stores across the globe, and still, the standards remain the same. Every store, however, is not limited from improving its practices while at the same time following the guidelines set by the corporation. Some of the areas in which Starbucks is excelling include staffing, customer service, supplies, quality, and equipment. The write up will address the operations to be undertaken by an individual store based on the listed areas.
In preparation for the launch of the new coffee brand, as the manager, I will organize my staff in a manner that will deliver the best outcome. The initial step will be acquiring the most experienced baristas to be at the forefront of serving the customers. Some of the skills to look after include customer service abilities, some individuals are excellent at customer service, and those are the ones I will select. That does not mean to rehire new staff since, as a general rule, the workers or partners, as referred in the company are exceptional, but rather to give priority to the great ones for the sake of the test. Staff will get training about the marketed coffee to be well vast with the product. Baristas also will be given enough time to practice with the equipment to gain familiarity. While at it, the success of the occasion will depend on teamwork, which is a significant aspect of our store. We will organize various activities to promote collaboration among the members of the staff. Also to enhance a sense of belonging, I will involve them in every stage of planning.
