You are the CEO of MegaGlobe Business Solutions, a financial consulting Corporation based in Chicago that has just recently opened new offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. As part of this transition, your employees will be working collaboratively with employees at these locations to provide financial consulting services in these new markets. Abstract
With a growing global demand for financial consulting MegaGlobe Business Solution has decided to open new offices in Sao Paulo and Shenzhen. We look at the changes needed for the new organizational structure to be successful. Becoming a global organization comes with a lot of opportunities and challenges for an organization. Cultural diversity is one of them and requires management to change their leadership style. We recommend the use of Hill’s Team Leadership Model. We analyze how MegaGlobe Business Solutions has been using this style of leadership and improvements which can be made to their implementation. We also look at the positive impact having different cultures and genders can have on business performance. We find that the conflict which arises in diverse workplaces results in better results for MegaGlobe. We discuss the importance of team work in the new organizational structure. We also make recommendation on how management can motivate employees in the new organizational structure.
