Leadership Styles
Leadership can be understood as the capacity of an individual or an organization to set and realize challenging goals, make fast and proper decisions when needed, outsmart and outperform the competition, and most importantly inspire other members of the staff to perform at their highest level possible (Essa & Alattari, 2019). Leadership is a guiding tool since it provides direction to both an organization and its workers. The staff members you lead need to know the direction you lead them and the organization at large. Also, being a leader means you have the required abilities to show the staff members how to effectively perform their responsibilities, and supervise the completion of delegated tasks. Besides, a leader should set a positive example for the staff members to follow. Positivity can be set through always being motivated to learn new things, helping other staff members in individual tasks and also in team activities, and always being excited about work.
Being a leader requires different styles depending on the environment you are working in. Some styles are the strongholds of some people while others are applied as supplements. From an assessment, I apply various leadership styles, some of which am going to discuss. First, am a Provider. Sometimes am a pacesetter to my staff members, and other times am affiliative (Luke & Peters, 2020). In pacesetting, I lead in the front while my team members follow.
