Most Important Points to Intelligence Analysis
The people carrying out intelligence analysis should give attention to the judgments and conclusions that they make. They should be more interested in their reasoning and the processes which they followed before arriving at the conclusions. They can achieve this by being self-conscious of their reasoning and the implications they have. They should also be aware of the perpetual and cognitive biases in human perception and how they are likely to impact the results of intelligence analysis. Humans evaluate information using mental models which are constructs based on experiences and assumptions about the world. These assumptions and experiences are likely to corrupt the thinking of analysts if they are not careful.
