Human personality development is enveloped encompassed in disciplines such as cognitive, emotional, personality and social development. To explain human personality development, there exists two popular theories, Erik Erikson’s psychosocial theory and Sigmund Freud’s psychosexual theory (Samkange, 2015). Despite the fact that both theories try to elucidate the phenomenon of personality development, there still exists differences which cannot be overlooked.
