Psychology Portfolio
Apply what you have learned about the psychology of adolescence and adulthood to real-world issues. Pick one construct from each chapter and define it. Please note that the construct cannot be the title of the chapter, but must be a topic or term in the chapter. Create a portfolio consisting of cartoons, pictures, or a brief article. Write an explanation of how your clipping illustrates the concept from the text. Your responses should be at least ½ page in length for each entry. You need to do one portfolio entry per chapter.
Please be sure to post the picture, cartoon, or brief article as part of your portfolio. You will find examples of portfolios that other students have done under the content section on Blackboard. Your first portfolio will be due on October 10 and will cover Chapters 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19. Your second portfolio will be due on November 29 and will cover Chapters 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25. .Although you will hand me your portfolios as a unit, I would strongly suggest that you do the portfolio assignment for each chapter when we are working on that chapter.

Most of these teens drop out of school after the pregnancy to take care of their children. Lack of education opportunities for the pregnancy leads to continued poverty and dependency. Again, teenagers who get married are likely to give birth to many children leads to a problem in regulating the number of family members.
This cartoon portrays an image of a 15-year-old girl delivered eight months ago. The teenage girl has fallen into post-partum depression and cannot bear the child's cry. She seems frustrated and irritated by the crying child indicating she is tired of taking care of her baby. The young girl requires support from family to take care of the baby since she is young to bear the responsibility of bearing the child.
