The world has changed and the change has come with various effects. In the world, people view war and crime as the ultimate sin. The slow and mild sins are often forgotten or foreseen by both the public and the authorities, The strive for social freedom backed by the fight against dictatorship and its negative effects on people has led to milder but yet chronic results of the said mild crimes and sins. This reflection paper has looked into these mild crimes against humanity and how they are masked under the normality of the society and the commonness in its occurrences. This paper seeks to discuss the arguments made by the author, and critique on these points.
The author argues that the so-called social freedom and strive to end totalitarianism and dictatorship has resulted in the rot in the morality of the society. He compares the challenges he goes through with those of a prisoner. The author explains that the struggles that all humans go through are a result of the choices that they make CITATION Dal04 \l 1033 (Dalrymple). He uses the comparison of Great Britain with those of the countries around the world to bring out his argument. He explains that the situation within the slums in Great Britain is more of a self-inflicted pain than circumstantial trouble.
