A Significant Proportion of the Middle Class 


Being part of the middle-class means having an annual income to adequately pay for housing, entertainment, food, and insurance. It also means being a part of the people and households who rank between the working and upper class in the socio-economic hierarchy. A significant proportion of the middle class has college degrees and more annual income than the working class. The two individuals appearing in the video belong to the middle class as per the definition. Most middle-class families are presumed to be characterized by various social aspects such as their occupation, goals, and educational level. The middle class primarily has more than a college degree and owns or aspire to own a home and a car.
The situation of Aaron and Mary is not a unique situation within the American Middle-class. Most middle-class struggle and face financial pressures to make their ends meet.
