Gender equality which can also be termed as sexual equality refers to a state where there is equal access to opportunities and resources to each and every person regardless of their gender. Gender equality is achieved when both males and females enjoy equal opportunities and equal rights without having to discriminate one gender .Inglehart, Norris, &Welzel (2002).
For a long time women have always felt and treated as the lesser gender and this led to a many organizations coming up to fight for gender equality.
To achieve gender equality, women need not be seen as a lesser gender than men, equal opportunities should be given to both genders. The abilities that women have should not be undermined, because as much as women cannot be like men, they can be equal to them.
