Christianity is the largest religion, with approximately 2.1 billion adherents, who believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. It began about 2000 years ago in the Middle East. Islam is the second-largest religion with nearly 2 billion faithful and is thought to have started in the 7th century in Arabia. Followers of religion worship Allah and Mohammed.
