Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. We are gathered here to determine whether Mrs. Minnie Wright, the accused, is guilty or innocent of the murder of her husband. It is challenging enough for women especially the young ones in our current society to get equal and fair compensation or treatment. For years, females have fought for equality of the sexes only, to come back to the starting point. It is heartbreaking to know that some people believe women are weak and inferior due to their regular biological processes. The perception of a young woman who is unable to protect herself since she begged for assistance or is deserving of it still exists today. Everybody, as it’s said, is a piece of wood within the same tree or branch as their (Glaspell, 2).
