Introduction
The Poem by Max Ehrmann, which was created in the 1950’s became popular worldwide and has touched the lives and hearts of all those using and reading it. The goal of the author is to teach the readers about the value of life and how to face every dilemma and problem. Most people in the world in the legal field, medical and field of philosophy have all used this poem to boost the morale of the workers and staff of their organizations. Colleges, Universities and Institutions have given a high regard to this poem that it has also been made a part of the graduation rights or other solemn events to uphold integrity and fair play. Limmericks and sonnets wherein this poem falls as a category is said to have started in France wherein the words are organized into a lyric form like that of a song. According to Business Balls 2019 that the poem was discovered in the year 1962. The location where it was found was at the Baltimore Church thereby evidencing that the document was already a historical discovery. Whilst there are conflicting views that state the poem was written in the 1900’s by Lawyer Max Ehrmann. This poem was said to be a compilation of inspirational articles for the church congregation. The copies of this poem spread far and wide fast and many people came to hear about it. Millions of people all over the world are trying to give their own interpretation of the poem giving a more complex and profound idea as to the poem’s purpose while to some, DESIDERATA only shows the basic principles in life.
