Mid-Century Revolts
During the mid-century there was imposition of unpopular poll tax which was not welcomed by the public. Therefore, this led to many other revolts which had slightly different causes. These revolts became popular with time because they got support from different sources. The following revolts took place during the mid-century.
The civil war in the United States broke in 1861. This occurred after years of tension between the southern states and the northern states. The supremacy battles between the northern and southern states created the possibility of the occurrence of a civil war at one point.
