The work is about the analysis of some of Denise Levertov's literary works. Priscilla Denise Levertov was a renown American poet, cum anti-war activist, essayist, and also an environmentalist. Apart from that she also lectured in several universities as a professor. She became an American by naturalization, thus becoming an American-based poet, this, after marrying husband and fellow poet, Mitchell Goodman. She managed to publish 24 books of poetry, some translations and criticisms. During her lifetime she had received several awards, honors and recognitions; the Lannan Literary Award for Poetry (1993), a Catherine Luck Memorial Grant, a Shelley Memorial Award (1984), a Robert Frost Medal in 1990, the Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts in 1962, the National Institute of Arts and Letters’ grant, and a Lenore Marshall Prize.

Priscilla Denise Levertov was a renown American poet, cum anti-war activist, essayist, and also an environmentalist. Apart from that she also lectured in several universities as a professor. She was however born in Ilford town, Essex, in the United Kingdom; on 24th October, 1923, and later on died at the age of 74 in 1997 in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. She became an American by naturalization, thus becoming an American-based poet, this, after marrying husband and fellow poet, Mitchell Goodman. She managed to publish 24 books of poetry, some translations and criticisms.
