How People Respond to a Film
Different films stir up different reactions from groups of people around the world. People often relate real-life experiences with the fiction depicted in the films. As a result generalization of people’s response to a film is not practical. Several factors may cause a given reaction to a movie. Such factors may include cultural beliefs, religion, race, and the individual’s personality (Schmeichel et al. 1526). Of most importance in explaining the uniqueness of every individual’s response to a film, however, are the aspects of their social self and the interior self.
