What Would You Say Are The Three Main Issues That College Students Face Today?
Time spent in college is usually a happy experience and full of memories for a majority of students. It is during this time that they dream of earning a degree for a better life. Often, students are faced with challenges and obstacles that may hinder them from enjoying the experience or achieving their dreams. The paper will address the top three issues that face college students and suggest solutions to the challenges.
Time management
Balancing between school, work, and family is a big challenge faced by students. Some students in college usually have part-time jobs to do, classes to attend, and families to take care of. The responsibilities can be overwhelming to students who have many credits to cover in a single semester (Gates). Students often find themselves without enough time to study reducing their odds of academic success. Students should know the limits to help in time management. They should outline the various responsibilities expected of them and have a plan. For example, they should know the credits they are expected to handle during the semester to schedule their time. They should be able to allocate time for studying and take breaks for fun to keep their minds fresh and clear (Gates). A schedule will also help a student to prioritize the tasks they have, manage time effectively, and ask for help when they need it.
