Shingles is a very painful disease. The first thing to expect when you are getting the Shingles is burning, sharp pains, tingling, and numbness. In this paper we will define what shingles is what causes the disease, how is it transmitted and we will conclude with how it should be treated.
Medical practitioners refer shingles as a disease caused by the reactivation of a previous infection with herpes zoster virus that typically results in a aching localized skin rash, generally with swellings on top of the reddish skin.
Shingles is generally caused by a breaking out again of the varicella-zoster virus, a category of herpes infection that mainly cause chickenpox. After one has had chickenpox, the infection lies quiet in ones nerve roots and remains dormant until, it becomes active again. If the infection is active once more, you may develop a rash that transpires only in the part of the affected nerves.
Mostly somebody who has shingles can expose one to the infection if one comes into contact with the fluid in the shingles blisters. Any person who has had chickenpox might contract shingles in later stage.
