Racial Struggle in America in the 20th Century
Racial struggles are hardships endured by a particular race by their skin color. The 19th century was characterized by several dynamic changes in the relations between the African Americans and the whites. This was because it was during this time that America was involved in the World Wars. African Americans just as the whites were recruited into the army to fight on the American side. They marched together, carrying the American flag in a sign of patriotism and loyalty to America. They fought hand in hand with the whites and gave their best for America. Some African Americans even lost their lives in the process.
