There are two related therapy models which are usually considered to be strategic therapies. This paper will focus on a comparison and similarities of the strategic family therapy approach, and Milan systemic therapy model. And then it will describe the circumstances the models might be applied and finally identify their strengths and limitations.

Then structural, problems arise because of the strange hierarchies and finally is functional, in which families experience problems as a result of protecting one another secretly.
