Happiness Interrelates with Health


Happiness interrelates with health. Healthy people have behaviors that account for their status of the mind where happiness stems from. People with good physical health but poor mental health are not happy. Healthy eating lifestyles, exercise, enough rest, and psychological stability behaviors lead to happiness at any age thus ensuring happiness if such behaviors are maintained even to aging.
Eating lifestyles
A person that maintains a balanced diet habit from infancy to old age has the ability to fight malnutrition and prevent other health-based diseases. A rich diet consists of energy-giving foods, protein-natured foods, vitamins, low-fat level foods, and lots of water and minerals. Old-age people are always advised to eat fat free foods increasing foods rich in fiber, vegetables, and whole grains.
A healthy eating lifestyle is behavior on day to day basis; times of consumption and good nutrition. Adoption of various habits such as lessening the intake of calories, use of unsaturated fats, and decrease in levels of salt and sugars are healthy eating lifestyles.
Exercise
A person that regularly engages in exercise is physically healthy. Physical activities keep your nerves stable hence the brain is also active. (Badri 55) Muscles, bones, and cartilage are strengthened by receiving rightful amounts of physical activities. Exercise helps reduce unwanted weight by stimulating the burning of unnecessary fats. Old age high diseases such s heart attacks and high blood pressure can be prevented through regular exercise. Exercise is very important since it contributes to a sound mental state thus maintaining happiness.
Rest
Rest is important because it boosts the immunity of the nervous system. A healthy immune system is good for the brain. Concentration on memory is also improved during rest. Stress is relieved through the relaxation of nerves thus putting the person in a calm good mood and a happy state. People in old age should take time to have enough rest so that they can have that feeling of calmness through, sleep, meditation, nature walks, site seeing, etc.
Rest also requires habits that achieve optimum levels that are required for healthy lifestyles. Regular sleep habits, eating something before sleep, and avoiding taking naps during the day helps one to have a good rest.
