Analyzing the spread of communicable diseases is a good example of research that employs the scientific methods of collecting and analyzing data. The research was carried out in a local community that analyzed the viability of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the area. The scope of the research and the data collected were to be collected from the local hospital, the University, and the leading college in the vicinity. The scientific method that was used to collect data in this study was the qualitative approach methods. These methods included observation, surveys, and interviews. The observation was used to analyze the general behavior of the people. The survey method was used to conduct a deep analysis of the protective measures that the local hospitals had taken to protect the people from the virus. The last scientific method was used to gather feedback from the people, and gather their views about the pandemic. It was also important to collect their views regarding the efforts of the government to curb the virus.
However, the research did not employ any quantitative methods of collecting data or carrying out the research. It was felt that since the research depended highly on collecting information from the people, it will be best carried out from a qualitative approach.
