The Industrial Revolution’s Effect on Social Class
The industrial revolution was a profoundly transformative era causing a transition in production and manufacturing processes. The upper class benefitted more than the rest due to its advantage in education and skills. Besides accelerating the growth of the middle class, the industrial revolution triggered a class conflict as the upper class tried controlling the rest and unionization of workers as they tried to react to the rising oppression.
