MOVIE REVIEW OF gASLANDsource..
The United States of America (USA) played a significant role in the spread of gas wells and drilling firms. In particular, during George Bush’s second term, the vice-president, Dick Cheney, came up with a legislation that exempted gas companies from the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act of the 1970s.
The film Gasland of 2010 portrays how the government, which is supposed to protect people fails them. For example, Josh Fox, who lives in Pennsylvania, in a house that he inherited from his parents, receives a letter from a gas company that wanted to buy his land for gas extraction. Overall, laws are ignored, and others changed to favor these gas plants without considering the consequences.
