Strategic planning refers to the procedure of documenting plus enhancing a direction on business via assessing its progress (Kerzner, 2019). The strategic plan offers a better place to record the business's vision, mission, and values accompanied by long term goals of the company and procedures towards achieving the documented goals.
Tesco Company's strategic planning and management.
Currently Tesco retail chain is the biggest in the United Kingdom with almost sixteen percent of the market environment share. The Tesco company trails only in France based and United States-based supermarkets. The organizations first store was set up in the year 129 in North London whereby it launched its first superstore in Crawley, West Sussex in the year 1968 plus its first petrol station launched in 1974 and also 1995 (Robson & Pitt, 2018). Recently the Tesco Company features in four major stores set-ups. The stores include, Express, Superstore, Metro and Extra. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Sainsbury's had dominated the United Kingdom in the supermarket chain. Tesco Company overtook the United Kingdom's largest food store in the year 1995.
