Child Mortality Can Be Reduced by Timely Prenatal Care
Prenatal care provided promptly can significantly lower the high death rate suffered by children under one year of age. This is because the child receives excellent care beginning in the first trimester, and by the time the mother is in the third trimester, any complications are identified and dealt with. The best supplements for the baby's health during the pregnancy can also be given to the mother. According to data on child mortality, most African American mothers skip prenatal care appointments in the first trimester of their pregnancies. In the regular course of things, they attend hospitals during labor, however, others decide to deliver at home. The child mortality rate would significantly decline if prenatal care was given considerable consideration.
I do not anticipate seeing mothers skip prenatal and postnatal appointments at health facilities in the current information and technological age. To appendix 1, the infant death rate for black children in Ohio was double that of the other races, according to data on infant mortality rates by race and ethnicity (march of dimes, 2020). Race and poverty levels also played a role in this. However, preterm mortality will decrease if proper education and training are provided to pregnant women.
