The Effects of Caffeine on Heart Rate Viability
Caffeine is a popular stimulant for many people. However, the psychoactive drug's extensive consumption has been linked to various health issues, such as impacts on the heart rate variability. When people consume caffeine, it stimulates the autonomic nervous system. It is the stimulation that impacts the normal heart rate (Koenig et al., 2013). The purpose of this paper is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the impacts of caffeine on a person’s heart variability. The paper will review existing literature works and contribute to future research on topics related to caffeine's impact on heart variability.
Background
Research has revealed that consumption of caffeine has an impact on the consumers' heart variability. Most of the research on caffeine's effects on an individual’s heart rate variability focuses on chronic use of caffeine (de Oliveira et al., 2017, p.741). However, while the studies are inconclusive, they have indicated that caffeine consumption impacts heart rate variability. When combined with other substances such as nicotine, the impact is higher than the expected studied effects. Research so far indicates that the more a person consumes caffeine, the more results the substance has on the sympathetic nervous system's functioning capability. Heart rate variability is an essential parameter for medical professionals since it indicates cardiac autonomic modulation (Flueck et al., 2016). For this reason, the study of heart rate variability and how caffeine impacts it is critical to desirable health outcomes of patients.
Methodology
The paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature on heart rate variability and the implication of caffeine consumption. Longitudinal research involving the assessment of existing experiments will be conducted. The principal aim of the method will be to gain insights into caffeine consumption rates and whether they directly impact heart rate variability. The data collected will be analyzed, and the findings used to conclude the various implication of caffein consumption on people's heart rate variability. The participants of the study are patients with heart conditions who also consume caffeine. The approach will include studies on factors such as behaviors, the setting, and social issues. Both qualitative and quantitative data will help add insights into the findings of the original research.
Results
Data were analyzed from caffeine users who have reported heart conditions. Data from unresponsive participants are not part of the paper's findings. The data collected indicated that for habitual caffeine consumers, there were impacts on heart rate variability. Ingestion of a small amount of caffeine is enough to trigger changes to one's heart rate. The more a person uses caffeine, the higher the effects it has on the heart rate. The data collected to support the findings are presented in forms such as tables and graphs. Caffeine stimulates consumers, leading to a feeling of calmness. However, the amount of caffeine consumed and the health condition of a person determine the final implications of using caffeine on a person's heart rate variability.
Conclusion
Caffeine is a very popular stimulant. Its usage leads to a feeling of calmness for the
