Introduction
This research examines and contrasts two different church paradigms, presented in the books Deep and Wide and The Prodigal Church. Research also explores the Bible to discover which paradigm best matches the biblical vision of worship. In Matthew chapter six, verse eight, Jesus Christ stated that he would build and head the church. His followers would eventually become his congregation. As soon as Jesus rose from the dead, he commanded his followers to spread the Gospel throughout the world by baptizing new believers in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Matthew 24:14, Jesus entrusted his followers with preaching the Gospel. According to these passages, the church is a body of believers called to spread the Gospel, or the good news of God's kingdom. The church in Andy Stanley's Deep and Wide and Wilson Jared's The Prodigal Church will be compared and contrasted in this article.[Carson, D. A. "Matthew." In Matthew and Mark. Deep and Wide is Stanley's attempt to reimagine what it means to be a Christian. As an example, Stanley looked to the life of Jesus Christ and the people around him for inspiration. Throughout the book, he refers to Jesus' sermon on the Mount of Olives as an example. The gathering on the mountain provides a wealth of information for Stanley about the church's target
