Emergency nursing care is closely related to the development of several skills and their full application in nursing. The changes also focus on making the workplace more conducive for nurses for reduced workload and other pressures that affect their productivity. Patients also benefit from improved healthcare outcomes, reduced cost, and efficiency in access to healthcare services due to comprehensive history and clinical examination (Reckrey et al. 35). Equipping nurses with sufficient knowledge on the core competency areas such as evidence-based practice and leadership is expected to significantly boost the collaboration of the nurses with other healthcare professional bodies for improved patient outcomes through a comprehensive history and clinical examination.

Health information and patient technologies can only be beneficial to a patient if they are utilized appropriately. The consequences of technological misuse can be dire to the recipients of care. Nursing comprehensive history and clinical examination play a critical role in the adoption of health information and patient technologies because of their knowledge and intimate comprehension of how the software works. This category of nurses possesses the skills and expertise to perform extensive software usability testing- a critical step in the implementation process. The nurses collaborate with other practitioners for continuous development as well as improvement of the health care technology.
