Gender Inequality as a Social Injustice
All men and women are created equal but the cultural and political dispositions within various countries have created disparity and lengthy ties of male masculinity which makes women not only inferior but also slaves of religion, culture and malicious politics. Gender is the state of being either male or female based on the roles we play in the society.
The idea of gender equality is more of value than the baseless politics which result in death and enmity between people. Women should be treated with as much respect as men (Chakraborty, page 13). The constitution, state policies and even international laws protects and upholds the rights of women basing on the universal knowledge that all beings require similar opportunities, rights and freedoms to live and express themselves to their best character.
In Pakistani, Malala noted the various forms of gender oppression which aimed at disrespecting women for the sake of honor (Yousafzai, page 38). The boundaries that were set by culture and Islamic traditions within the social spectrum expressed discontent at anything a woman could do to be free. Her thoughts were suppressed, her opinions were hardly of any concern, her clothing mattered to those who did not wear them. Her education was of no significance like that of the boys. These forms of oppression have kept women in her Pakistani region docile, uneducated and barely significant in the growth and development of both the culture and economy fields.
