Introduction
The quest to establish good leadership continues to be a hard task to implement among the African countries. Scholars and persons of expertise have made predictions before regarding the productive and illuminative future of Africa, yet their predictions remain to be utter statements. It is evident that the struggle for good leadership in Africa not only affects the government or state leadership but also includes the leadership in other aspects of governance such as Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations and the entire political structure (Mbandlwa, 2020). Each of the established aspects of leadership experiences its own challenges, and hence requires that strategies need to be implemented to ensure growth of the continent.

Most of the African countries are ruled by the president as the head of state and commander to the military units, while others are ruled by the prime minister and kings. In this regard, governance in African countries is centralized in nature. Power and influence trickles down from the top to the bottom of the hierarchical structure.
