VARK Analysis
Summary of my Learning Style
The results from the VARK analysis revealed that I have a very strong visual learning style. Undoubtedly, I often prefer to interact with learning resources and materials that contain several images, maps, colors, and graphics to explain a particular phenomenon or share a given concept or thought. It is common for one to find me color-coding my notes, preparing as many-to-do lists as possible, and using varied concept maps or mind maps to organize my thoughts. It is also worth pointing out that I enjoy drawing, making posters, and doodling. If I want to learn something new, I tend to limit my research to those sources that have a variety of images and figures. Markedly, the development of an individual’s personality often dependents on their learning styles, and on numerous occasions, it is impacted by social, emotional, and environmental factors as well as one’s feelings (Rahman & Ahmar, 2017). I believe that my social setting has to a large extent influenced my learning style. For example, nearly all my siblings are talented artists who have a portfolio of portraits placed in different parts of our home. I often enjoy examining the details of these pictures and they have helped to gain meaningful knowledge about the significance of paying close attention to information during the learning process.
